This semi-nightly 10km swim between Bourg-Charente and Cognac will test your endurance and determination. Night swimming offers an extraordinary experience, disrupting the usual landmarks for each swimmer. As the light fades, your eyes will adjust to the natural illumination of the moon, revealing the river in a new light. Take a moment to stop, even for a minute or two, and savor this magical moment where silence reigns, without even the sound of water…

Can I use fins?

Flow By Night is an open water event; only a neoprene wetsuit is permitted. Swimming with fins, paddles, snorkels, or pull buoys is prohibited.

What is the purpose of my partner on the banks?

Their role is to keep the swimmer in sight from start to finish and notify the organization in case of failure or any other problem. They provide logistical support to the swimmer by carrying their belongings (towel, etc.) to the finish line.
