To our sporting friends,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome the second edition of the "Flow des Gabarriers" this year. The spectacular 33 km swimming marathon will cross 16 communes in the Grand Cognac region, starting from Châteauneuf-sur-Charente and finishing on the quays of Cognac.

Our region is proud to welcome open water swimmers to compete in our river La Charente. It is a priority for us to support large-scale events such as this, which exemplify the values of sport: challenging oneself, respect for others, team spirit and solidarity. These values are shared by Grand Cognac and its sports clubs.

We would like to thank the organisers for choosing our beautiful destination, and the volunteers for helping make this event a success

Grand Cognac will continue to support sports initiatives as part of its "Land of the Games 2024" label for international athletes in their preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
